I like to think that the world of SEO involves a certain amount of creativity, and that we need to be creative to get the results. We really need to start being more creative with the tools at our disposal, such as linkbait, AMA and blog commenting to start generating some more traffic.

Successful linkbait will grab peoples imagination and have such good sticky content that they cant help but pass it along to their friends. The thing is, we’ve seen alot of it before- and the more people see it, the less impact it will have the next time around, so we need to constantly be thinking up or finding new content to try and keep people interested.

Ama articles need to spark off interest before the article has even been read. An interesting title can be all it needs to get people to investigate further and spark off their interest. An blog comment on a post thats insightful or offensive can often get people to reply, and can generate you some traffic.

We need to start thinking outside the box if we want our sites to reach the much desired page one spot -with all the different sites out there, most are only just starting to subscribe to the idea that that they need SEO. This means were seeing alot of sites going for the same slots, SEO companies pitied against one another -and the group that comes up with the unique ideas for that extra traffic will be the one thats going to get the top spot. ‘Unusual’ and new ideas are always going to get attention whether they are good or bad.
