I have searched online for a while now hunting for the latest website optimization strategies across the internet. But does anybody really know what they are? I mean it is not likely that the search engine creators are going to share this information. If they were to then it would become worthless with so many sites being built exactly the same trying to manipulate the search engines in there favor. So what do you listen to when you do find advice? I say what ever works that does not get you kicked off by search engines.

We all have been told everything under the sun about SEO. Tricks like bolding and italicizing keywords is said to work well but how much. Doing this alone will not get you anywhere fast. I see people doing things like creating links from their keywords to sites like Wikipedia but that is good for them and bad for you. This is one of the answers of why their website can usually be found on page one of most search phrases. Then there is the issue of keyword density. Some say ten percent or so of content should contain your keywords and some say more. Sure, you can not just type in your keywords one hundred times in your pages but how much is too much?

Now there is also the idea that suggest that you should have your main keyword phrase as your domanin name. This strategy can be successful to some websites but there are many websites that can get listed above them without the keyword being seen what so ever. So it can’t be that simple. There most be more to it than that.

Search Engines still look at your meta tags title and descriptions. Or you can let the search engines decide what to pull up. For me I use the meta tags because my results are better. If not then make sure you put what you want to be on page one on in the first view sentences of content to make it simple for the search bots to know what your website is created for.

Oh, and don’t forget about all those sneaky tricks for SEO some webmasters try to get away with. You know like filling a site with tiny words loaded with keyword phrases or cramming a bunch keywords in alternative text in pictures. That stuff only work for a short while and then you get dropped to like page 200 or so. Take it from me, I would avoid any of those techniques.

The best way to go is using fresh unique content with free backlinks from reliable sites are still the only wat to do it. Updating your content regularly will keep the search bots coming back. Backlinks will let them know how popular your website is. But your backlinks should come from more than one source. Make sure to shake it up a bit with quality backlinks from directories, blogs, websites, videos and more. There are more things that can be done but those are two of the most important things.

Well I can go on forever about what people tell me about optimization but there is no need to. You need to find what works and when it does then replicate it for all of your websites and all inner pages you have. With a little trial and error you could see yourself on top in no time.
